Beate, CEO

Since I was a small child, my biggest passion has been dogs, cats, and horses. It all started with taking care of my grandparent's dogs, a German shepherd, a Poodle and a Pekingese. My grandfather was the ranger in a large park and one day he found a single duckling after the rest of the family was mauled by a fox. Who cared for the duckling? Me! Many tears rolled down my cheeks when I had to release it back to the pond.

I have been riding horses since childhood and for years trained under the tutelage of a master riding instructor. We have two purebred Arabians that I trained for the most part myself and I also trained several other horses in the classical style. I also taught several children and adults how to ride in a horse friendly classical manner including my daughter. I am a member of the Georgia Horse Council, the Arabian Horse Association, and Saddle Up Cobb. In addition, other members of our furry family are our two cats and two dogs which make our family complete. I used to work for a while in an animal clinic in Germany and worked with pets and horses since I have moved to the United States. Here I have worked in a vet clinic, taught riding lessons, trained horses and volunteered in a hypo therapy program. Now I have moved up to run my own pet sitting company and am certified nationally in pet sitting.

Stacy, President

Hello, Beate and I started The Purrfect Nanny due to our love for animals great and small. I didn't have pets growing up, but as an adult I have realized how much fun they can be! Their unconditional love is why they are so popular. Having pets also makes me wonder sometimes why life is so complicated! They just require the basics in life and they are happy. Unlike humans who fret over so many unneeded things.

I am here to make sure all the things behind the scenes at The Purrfect Nanny go smoothly. From hiring processes, background checks, scheduling, payment handling, etc. A smoothly operating back office helps to ensure a perfect running front office. Our front office is meeting with clients and their owners. My military background is a tremendous asset to The Purrfect Nanny in this role. There are a few times when I need to care for pets too. We are a team and always do the best for our clients.

Alishea, Nanny

Hi, I'm Alishea (Ali) and I service the Marietta/Smyrna/Vinings and surrounding areas. I've always had animals in my life in some form. When I was growing up, we bred American Cocker Spaniels. As I got older, I knew breeding wasn't for me, but that I definitely had to have at least a couple of Cocker's! I have two currently, they are the sweetest girls! Maharhet is an ex show dog, hip displaysia took her off the circuit. Baby came from a rough start in a breeding farm, but she's put it all behind her! Neither of my Cocker's had their tails docked as I believe it is an unnecessary procedure. Cats were never much a part of family life as a child, too many family members were allergic. But when I moved out on my own I knew I had to also have a cat or two or three in my life! I currently have an all white DSH with blue eyes, name Bathory. She keeps the dogs going! I've also been lucky enough to be guardians for Clydesdale's, Havana Browns, an Abyssinian, a timber wolf/husky hybrid, bearded dragons, iguanas, Bettas, hermit crabs, ferrets, turtles, and tarantulas! On top of all of that, I'm very active in the Animal Rights community. So there isn't an animal on this planet that I won't love and take care of! I look forward to caring for your furry, feathered, or scaly baby!

Barbara, Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Barbara. I am a Pet Sitter in the Kennesaw, Acworth area. After about a year in hiatus, I am so happy to be back with The Purrfect Nanny! I didn’t know how much I enjoyed taking care of your furry (and feathered) babies until I was away for a while. I have to tell you, I missed it terribly. My experience in caring for different kinds of animals goes back many years, having raised two sons on a couple of acres in North Cobb County. Over the years, we had most every kind of pet you can imagine. A few of them would be considered farm animals by some but family pets to us. Naturally, all the common ones and some not so common, such as a big beautiful Tom Turkey and a big black snake, who loved to slither in to the chicken house and steal eggs every chance he got. A few years ago, while one of my sons was serving in Saudi Arabia I babysat his precious pet, “Vicious”. That’s when I learned to enjoy and appreciate the Ball Python. I have owned a number of Cockatiels, Parakeets and Canaries over the years and recently rescued two beautiful Parakeets. They were not in an environment where they ever learned to be handled but now they constantly serenade me with beautiful song. I am also the “mamma” of Abby, an Australian Shepherd mix and “AJ”, an Australian Cattle Dog and if you are a country music fan, you don’t have to guess whom his namesake is.

My commitment to you is to give the same comfort and care to you precious pets in your absence, as they are accustomed to getting when they are with you.

I have been a Property Manager for many years and a Real Estate Agent for a few of those. Sometime in the future, I hope to retire and be a full time Pet Sitter, but for now it’s mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Chris, Pet Sitter

Chris's fancination with animals started at an early age. Although he wasn't allowed to have his own animals growing up, he made up for that by becoming the 'go to' kid in his neighborhood for anyone needing a dog sitter. Chris ended up spending more time with animals then people! After spending 13 years in the corporate world as a Business Analyst, Chris decided to leave it all behind and pursue his passions. Chris is also a Certified Thai Yoga Therapist and runs a small private practice near the Marietta Square with his partner Shawna. Chris and Shawna have a precious 2 yr old White Shepard/Whippet mix named Kanga, a 14 yr old cat named Amber and several fish. He has a special place in his heart for Greyhounds and volunteers with SEGA (South Eastern Greyhound Association). Chris spends his free time hiking/camping in North GA, riding his motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.

I have two dogs, a cat, and a horse, along with two young boys. My interest in animals began at a young age and has led me to undertake a masters degree in animal behavior counseling. As well as being a pet sitting nanny, I run dog-training classes and help people with their problem dogs and horses. I am originally from England and arrived in the USA five years ago when my husband was transferred to Atlanta. We bought our animals with us and even shipped my horse over here. I love trail riding and am progressing through the Parelli horsemanship program as well as competing in Endurance and Competitive Trail Riding.

Luann, Pet Sitter

Hello!  My name is Luann (Lu).  I am a pet sitter in the Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock and Cartersville areas.

I grew up in Minnesota, and have since lived in Chicago, Phoenix, Denver, and New Orleans.  My husband, Jerry (pictured with me), got a job in Georgia, so we moved here in 2006.

I have worked as an Optician and I've owned a computer repair business, but I was never satisfied working in the office environment.  I've always wanted to work with animals, so I am thrilled to be a part of this team.  Animals have been a huge part of my life.  When I was a child, my family always had dogs, and I rode and worked with horses when I could.  Since leaving home, I've had ferrets, rabbits, parrots, guinea pigs, hamsters, dogs, cats, and fish.  Of course, I'm fascinated with all animals.  Currently, we share a home with an adorable miniature dachshund, named Sofie (also pictured with me).

My husband and I have been involved with rescuing and supporting animals for quite a while.  Jerry has worked in wildlife rescue, was a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, and banded birds in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Animals are a big part of our lives, so I know just how much you love yours.  I will show them the same love.

Paula, Pet Sitter

Hello fellow animal lovers and pet families. My name is Paula and I am a professional pet sitter for the Duluth and Lawrenceville area. Like so many others in this line of work I grew up around animals all my life. From our small family farm with horses, chickens, bunnies, dogs, cats, rats and snakes to my cousin's dairy farm in New York. In my younger years I wanted to be a vet but had a hard time seeing the pain of those we love hurting.

I moved to Georgia from New England in 1995, and after working 13 years for busy Corporate America I left and became a Pet Sitter because I saw firsthand how hard it is for busy professionals to manage a full work schedule and the love and care of their pets. My goal is for my clients' pets to be as pampered as possible and that they are spending time with their very own play buddy while their family is away.

Thomas, Pet Sitter

Hi, I'm Thomas and pet sit in the Woodstock, Kennesaw, Canton and Acworth areas. After years in the construction business, I decided to devote more time to caring for animals - my true passion! I grew up caring for dogs all my life, but also care for other pets such as cats, horses, fish, and frogs at the Purrfect Nanny! I currently have two four-legged AKC-registered children - Ryder, a male fawn Boxer who is a former show dog and loves being a lap dog; Sydney, our princess at home is a female Australian Silky Terrier who thinks she is a Great Dane. I have completed obedience classes with my dogs and hope to do agility classes some day. I enjoy taking them to dog shows, parks, pet festivals, the lake or just shopping at the local pet store with my family! I am comfortable around almost every animal I have cared for and have learned a great deal from them. My respect and compassion for animals stem from the unconditional love and affection they have given me. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and caring for them as my own.

Yvonne, Pet Sitter

Hi! I’m Yvonne and I’m a proud pet sitter to your babies in the Sandy Springs / Dunwoody / Alpharetta / Midtown / Buckhead and surrounding areas! I SIMPLY LOVE ANIMALS...I always have! My first pet was a silver Persian named “I’ve Got A Secret” She was show cat and extremely beautiful! My family has always had a houseful of cats and dogs. Today I share my home with my baby Ms. Mona Lisa. Mona is a precious mix of Calico and Persian. Not only is she slightly overweight...ok VERY overweight, but she can be moody and she DEFINITELY runs my household! My family has used a pet sitter for years. It eliminates those lengthy stays at a “boarding” facility, where my pets just never quite came home the same. I look forward to taking care of your babies like I would take care of my own!
